Meet our youth

The next chapter, already underway.

Afghan Academy is, ultimately, about these students. Below: a sampling of the young people growing up in our classrooms — at every age, in every direction.

They are second-graders learning the Arabic alphabet for the first time. They are eighth-graders translating Hafez. They are graduates applying to medical school, founding tech companies, and coming back on Saturdays as volunteer teachers. They are the answer to the question the academy was founded to ask.
